Removal of AR15 Sear Block
Hey folks,
For whatever reason, I would like to remove the sear block in my Colt AR15 lower receiver. However, I cannot find any first hand information on how it was installed and how it can be removed without any more trouble than necessary and without messing up the gun. I have done some searching on a number of forums and one fellow said he had a heck of a time having it milled out because the block was some real hard steel. The block in my receiver looks like it has a quarter inch pin going all the way from one side of the receiver to the other side. Striking the pin a number of times did not show any sign of movement of the pin. Any help would be appreciated. I thank you in advance for any information, Dave Wile |
