East Coast Combat Camp – May ‘05

Progressive F.O.R.C.E. Concepts, LLC will be offering the following courses in May during our annual trip to the East Coast…

INTEGRATING FORCE OPTIONS
May 12-13, 2005
Danbury, CT
$325.00

Learn how to seamlessly integrate handgun, empty-hand, and edged/impact weapon skills through this innovative and exciting course of instruction. Since the mid 90’s, PFC has been a pioneer furthering the art and science of integrated use of force training. Now, PFC has developed this cutting edge summary of the latest tactics and techniques applicable to employing multiple force options during close personal defense. Half the instruction will be on the range, half will be on the mats. Topics covered in this course include using a firearm, a folding knife, and empty-hands in both lethal force and intermediate force modes, assessing and categorizing threats in accordance with the Universal Force Continuum, why and how to transition from one force option to another…and back if necessary, accessing weapons under duress, the dynamics of contact-distance fighting, employing varied levels of force during a multiple aggressor encounter, lethal force applications during ground engagements, and use of unconventional or improvised weapons to even the odds when facing violence. Students will participate in live fire exercises that incorporate intermediate force applications, “hot” & “dry” technical drilling, skill-building evolutions designed to condition responses, and combat scenarios that require threat assessment & problem-solving. Enroll in this course and the following Fighting with Firearms event in NY on May 14-15 for a package price of $550.00. For more information or to register, contact PFC.

FIGHTING WITH FIREARMS
May 14-15, 2005
Skaneateles, NY
$325.00

Finally, the gap between shooting a gun and fighting for your life has been bridged…but only you can cross it. This benchmark new program addresses two major concepts - the universal applications of both handgun and carbine weapon systems, and fighting with those weapon systems under all circumstances. This course is about winning a deadly force encounter with a firearm – pure and simple. Bring your handgun, bring your carbine, or bring and use both. All skills, techniques and training methods presented will apply to both weapon systems. The focus of this training is on the operator, not the tool. Topics covered include combative marksmanship and manipulations, shooting responses, fighting up close, precision engagement at extended ranges, bilateral weapon operation, combative and unconventional shooting positions, fighting while injured, dynamic and deliberate movement, barricade positions and tactics, contact-distance engagements, realistic methods for defeating multiple adversaries, fighting from the ground up, and problem-solving crisis scenarios using state-of-the-art solutions. This course will also feature a short block on handgun and long-gun combatives that covers weapon retention, weapon recovery, weapon removal, and intermediate force techniques for striking, trapping and grappling with a firearm. If you’re ready for high-intensity reality-based firearms training, do not miss this course. Prerequisites include completion of 40-hours of basic to intermediate-level firearms instruction through PFC or other credible training provider. Enroll in this course and the preceding Integrating Force Options event in CT on May 12-13 for a package price of $550.00. For more information or to register, contact PFC.
