Getting Cutter Off of RCBS Trim Pro Trimmer?

Can anyone tell me how to get the cutter off of the shaft for my new RCBS Manual Trim Pro Cutter.

I followed the directions and held the shaft and turned the cutter counter-clockwise but it wouldn't budge.

WD40 on the thread area didn't help.

Even padded vise grips couldn't get the cutter off.

I want to install one of their 3-way cutters.

Help?

when i got my 3 way the old one came off OK as best i remember but if it hadn;t i'd forget the padded vise grips and just use regular vise grips and rather than trying to turn it with my hands i think i'd tap it with a hammer......you may first try heating it with a propane torch before you mess it up with unpadded vise grips.....Dick

Thanks Dick.

With some care and a pair of vise grips with some clothe to protect the shaft, I ended up getting off the standard cutter and got the 3-way on.

Man is it sweet. Trims, chamfers, and deburs in seconds.
