Spikes ST-15 VS 2014 CMMG MK4T
I am down to the wire and want to order 1 of these 2 hopefully today I just dont know which rifle to go with. These are the ONLY 2 I am interested, they are in my price range and 1 of these is what I want. I know the buy both will come up and if I could I would :-) I do NOT have ANY interest in any of the other manufacturers.

I own both Spikes (5.56mm M4LE w/ BAR rail) and CMMG (.22LR Sierra WASP) uppers.
The Spikes is the higher quality of the two. Both are very good, but the finish of the Spikes is superior. Granted, they are different calibers, but the the Spikes upper has been 100% reliable, and the ST-T2 buffer that came with it yields a noticeable improvement in felt recoil versus other 5.56mm AR carbines I've owned and shot. It is very accurate as well - 1.5 MOA groups are attainable with M855 and M193. The 4150 chrome-lined barrel of the ST-15 is superior to the 4140 barrel of the CMMG MK4 T (even though it's nitrided). Here is a photo of both from a few years ago. The CMMG upper is detached. The Spikes upper (mounted to a PSA lower) is below: Last edited by Fishbed77; September 25, 2014 at 09:59 AM. |
