scopeing a 336

I have a marlin model 336 in 30-30. It was made in 1975. I had the factory sights, went to a micrometer sight, and now I think it's time for a scope.(I'll be 45 next month) I have a fixed 6 power weaver. Any suggestions on a good base and ring combo? Thank You
