AR-15 Problem, please respond
I purchased a used preban AR-15 CAR for a good price but the selector switch will not go from fire to safe, it's jammed. I have no armory experience with an AR-15 even though I am very good with the AK and SKS. Is there a place I can download dissasembly instructions and diagrams or do I need to order the paper manual. I need to know how to dissasemble the fire control parts correctly without damaging the rifle.
Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated. |

If I remember right, the selector switch detent and spring (two likely culprits) are just held into the receiver by the pistol grip. Remove the grip (without losing the little spring and detent), and see how the selector switch moves then.
