Scholarships for gunsmithing?
I'm hoping to go to school in South Carolina next year for gunsmithing. I'll have to pay for living expenses (no dorms where I'm going) as well as about $18,000 tuition combined with a $1200 project rifle and the same amount in tools.
While it's not an unreasonable amount for a vocational school, I'll only be able to work part time while going. I found myself wondering if there are any scholarships or grants available to ease the blow. Does anybody know of any gunsmithing grants, second amendment scholarships/essay contests, or anything reasonably within that range that I could apply for? Do the NRA, NSSF, NAGR or anybody else offer anything of that nature?

Check with your school. Brownell's offers a scholarship, but it's generally to second year students.
