Guns ot the Old West magazine
I just picked up a copy of Guns of the Old West Magazine. Man I love this mag. This issue is the best yet, great article by Dennis Adler "When the Big Guns Roared" Three different Walker conversions and a Dragoon conversion in this story plus great photos. I gotta subscribe.

Yeah, it's been one of my favorite magazines for about 3 years. I wish it came out every month. The gun reviews are great and each issue usually has articles about the guns in a recent movie or TV series (Appaloosa) or past (Outlaw Jose Wales). I also enjoy the stories about the old Western movie and TV stars.

You can subscribe but I buy mine from local book stores (Books-A-Million or Barnes and Noble).
I'm a big fan of Dennis Adler, one of the frequent contributing editors, who has authored some of the best books on Old West and replica guns, such as "Colt Single Action" and "Black Powder Revolvers: Reproductions and Replicas" (a classic, out of print). |
