does anybody have a good place to buy bulk reloading supplies online, mainly bullets, cases i have found but if there are some good deals theyd be nice to know about. i looked on midway but all i could find was by 250 (maybe 500?) at the most and they werent that cheap.

I buy bullets by the thousand from Midway or Dillon all the time. You can't find every bullet in bulk, but the choices have been good enough for my uses.

.224 55 gr FMJBT from Winchester
.224 55 gr Sprire Points from Hornady
9mm 115 gr HPs from Remington
357 mag 158 gr JHP from Remington
45 acp 200 gr plated SWC from Rainier
45 acp 230 gr plated RN from Rainier

It depends on caliber , For pistol bullets or big bore rifle I hit the gunshow because the weight on shipping will kill ya , On small to medium rifle bullets it depends on caliber . If you are shooting a military bore size search for the surplus houses . I have found that in many cases when you buy cheap bullets that is what you get and no matter what you do they arent going to shoot that well .

What do you consider "bulk". To me that means above 10K. Some manufactuers drop ship free after like 8 cases. Also try www.ghostholster.com for zero's. He ships through the flat rate USPS boxes which save a ton on shipping.

ummm 10k is a little bit more than i was thinking. about 1-2k is more like it. i say bulk because compared to the 100 rd. boxes ive seen its a lot. i need .223 small gr. (45-55 gr.) too if anybody has a link for that.

Here's a 10 shot, 100 yard group fired with these bullets last week, the wind was gusty and caused a couple of flyers, still...not too shabby.

If you want REALLY good prices, you need bulk and FFL.

Any decent gun club should have a FFL. Work with the club secretary/treasurer and get some members together and order true BULK.

My club secretary usually orders primers in lots of 500,000-750,000! Powder in lots of several hundred pounds. I generally buy primers in lots of 25K to 50K at a time, and pay $12/thousand, or less, by getting included in these bulk orders.

I order powder by the case, 4 jugs per case, 8 pounds per jug. 32 pounds of powder. Some members order 1/10 as much as I do, but when 50 or more people order at once, you can build up a large order quickly. You can also get screaming deals on bullets and even loaded ammo in bulk thru a FFL.

And, you can get your weapons and magazines at dealer cost.

Check www.Cabelas.com They have good prices on bulk bullets and shipping is hard to beat --- they figure shipping by dollar amount of purchase, not weight.

For cast rifle bullets you need to get as picky as your gun is. Try buying minimum size samples from a number of different makers and see which ones actually shoot well in your guns? Choose the shape for what you want them to do. For example, Brother Creeker's 430 grain .459 looks like a good 45-70 game getter to me. When you find "the one" your gun loves, any caster will sell by the 1000 and up without complaint.
