From a newbie:

I have acquired a beautiful IJ as above. Unfortunately, somebody forced a larger than stock coil spring into the sear to make it work (didn't). None of my references show the Target Eight sear spring and my collection of Brownell coil spring stock doesn't have anything small enough.
Do any of you know of a reference that will show the spring? Does anyone know the dimensions of same?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Meritas, I don't have the dimensions. Wolff, http://www.gunsprings.com, sells a pak of springs, Kit #10, for these pistols. You'll have to experiment a little to find the right one. I don't have a breakdown of the Target Sealed 8. Some of the older guns used a "V" spring under the sear. If there is not a recess hole either in the sear or in the triggerguard I would expect it to use the V spring instead of a coil spring. Someone at Wolff might know for sure. You might also try just ordering it from Gun Parts http://www.e-gunparts.com and see what happens. George

Thanks

George. Thanks for your reply. The "Sealed Eight" does have a recess in the sear for a coil spring. I will try your suggestions.
