Not sure about their layaway plan, but they were always easy to work with when I lived in Columbus. I used to go shoot there pretty often. They were even willing to price match a couple gun deals for me, which was nice because I preferred to work with them instead of Vance's.

Shoot them an email or give them a call and ask what their terms are...

Here's how their layaway plan worked for me. I put 20% down on a Springfield Armory Trophy Match. 3 weeks later I put another 10% towards it. A couple weeks later I went in to put more down, and instead bought a S&W 27-1 357 Magnum the saleman I always deal with showed me. 3 weeks later I went in to pay off the Trophy Match, only to find out they pulled it out of layaway and sold it.

^^ That was pretty lousy! I trust they credited your monies back to you? Though I'm not too far from Lancaster, I have never been there - and from the sounds of it don't want to.

Yeah it was. Not their norm though and I continue to shop and shoot there (at the range). Yes, they did make good on the money.
