I have not loaded lead bullets yet, but I wear exam gloves while working brass. As stated above, it makes cleanup easier. I still use Fast Orange waterless hand cleaner to get the heavy dirt off and then soap and water after that.

I wear nitrile gloves when loading any kind of bullets. I load all lead for pistol and am starting to load lead for rifle, although let me tell you...THAT'S an adventure. I also wear the nitrile gloves when cleaning guns. I prefer nitrile to latex because nitrile gloves don't have that powder in them, which dries my hands out. Also nitrile seems maybe a little tougher.
