Modifications for a Sig Sauer P220???

Have any of you Sig P220 owners made any modifications to improve the performance of your pistol?

What have you had done? Sights change? Trigger job of some type?

Is there anyone in specific that is a GREAT smith for Sigs?

Thanks in advance.

MD

Slick as a baby's butt-

My P220 does not need any modification's; cuz
it's slick as a baby's butt, right out of the box.

Best Wishes,

The guns are great out of the box. I added factory rubber baseplates (not possible with the mags they are using now). Also, I thinned the trigger, ala the P226/228/229 short trigger, and reblued it. Helped lots with the reach......

Mine is at the shop as we speak. The magazine well is being beveled and the front strap is getting scalloped. Stainless round radius trigger is being installed and the hammer is getting semi skeltonized. Will get a new black epoxy finish from Robar.

Not much available cause not needed. As everyone has said, it is a gun that needs nothing but ammo straight out of the box. And it shoots like a dream without any need of mods. The only thing you can really change or mod on it are the sights, grips, magazines, smoothing trigger pull, shorter trigger, and the finish coating. But the trigger pull on the Sig is one of the nicest around of any gun, out of the box. But these things sound more like cosmetic touches than mods.

Check out T.J.'s Custom

Hey don't shoot....

Nothing man made is perfect...everything can stand a little improvement, even if all it adds is character...

Go to members.aol.com/tjscustom/Web/TJ-list.htm and check out T.J.'s work. I hear that he is "the man" when it comes to Sigs. I have a P220 as well and am considering sending it to him to smooth out the action and lighten the trigger a little bit.
