Heard this last weekend. 3rd hand story, but a good source:

Early 1980's Camp Lejeune, NC

An officer of the watch is summoned with the call. "Sir, a crazed huge Marine is killing people with his bare hands!"

The officer goes to investigate and finds a 6'2" 230 lb monster raging against people and objects, there are two Marines unconscious at his feet and he screams, "I'm going to *&*&** kill you next Lt.!!" The good Lt calls the Military Police and soon here they come. Out of the car comes a motivated Lance Corporal, 5'2" tall and a really cute little girl. She says, "I'll handle this sir!"

The small MP proceeds to get close enough to the monster to hit him with pepper spray, then hit him again, and again, until the canister is empty. She then proceeds to take out her club and beat the monster's knees and thighs until he falls down to her level. Then with a couple good blows to the head, the monster is unconscious. She cuffs him and drags him to her cruiser, where she proceeds to pull and drag him into the back seat. Afterwhich she replies, "anything else sir?"

You can't judge a book by its' cover!!!

Oorah!!

I don't believe pepper spray was generally available in 1980 -- is it possible she used CN or CS gas on the "monster"?

Great story either way!!!
