We ended up getting 2 p938's. I got the scorpion and she got a nightmare. Both have 7 round extended mag. Fantastic shooting gun. I really like the single action and carry cocked and locked. It has a saftey were it wont fire unless trigger is pulled.

Thanks for the input. Ordered houges for both but have only put them on hers.

No one mentioned the LCP?

I carry mine daily, either as a deep conceal or as a BUG. I shoot it weekly. ABSOLUTELY no issues after a year of ownership and its probably the most under maintained firearm I own.

The only thing I would change is adding a safety.

21' with cheap ammo, shoots better with the good stuff

I have two LCPs, one a Custom. The only reliable pocket pistols I have owned.

The list of unreliable/finicky ones includes the following:

Glock 42 (lockbacks/mag popouts)
SIG P238 (2) (finicky)
SW Bodyguard .380 (junk!)
Ruger LC9s ( malfs already)
Kahr P380 (awful), CM9, PM9 (finicky)
Kel-tec P3AT (junk!), PF 9, P-11, P32(finicky)

"Finicky" means they will work fine 90 to 98 percent of the time, depending on ammo. Still not good enough in my view.

Sometimes it has felt like an Unreliable Gun cloud has been following me around, for years. But the LCPs ARE reliable, and the current version, and the Custom, have fixed the no sights/heavy trigger issue of the original.

For revolver: Ruger LCR in .357. Shoot .38s out of it.

My 2 main pocket pistols a 10 year old KelTec 380. Never had 1 problem with the 6 KelTecs I own. A early 90's Colt Mustang .No need to buy the Ruger or SIG copies .

Ruger LCP

It carries well in my pockets. Much so like keys, change or my pocket knife. Even in it's pocket holster. It goes everywhere with me.

The M&P Shield 9 is the first and last word in subcompact concealed carry, as far as I am concerned (With Kahr CM9 or PM9 a close 2nd). But I'm sure there's some pockets it won't go into. But run with thunderwear/smartcarry, and it's a glorious combo.
