Help with approx value
I have a SMLE, .303 Brit, with the "Fianna Fail" (sp?) stamp of one upper case "F" on another upper case "F" enclosed in a circle. I have had several e-mail conversations with peple from the UK to Canada that tell me these rifles are rare as most of them were de-milled after WWII. Can anyone give me an approx. value? I can e-mail pictures of the rifle and it's markings.
I need to know if this is something I can shoot and enjoy or put it back. Thanks. |

I have sent by separate email the information I have on the SMKE, You may be able to determine, from the markings indicated where you gun came from. As far as "Can You Shoot it or turn it back" Unless you check (or a reputable gun smith) check it out, one cannot determine if you can shoot it. (Safety Measure) I realize that you are wondering if you have such a rariety that shooting it would harm it, however, I had to make that statement. Harley |

Thanks for the reply. My e-mail is not working (MSN is getting as bad as AOL) but I will pull it up as soon as I am able.
