Stuck magazine tube!
Picked up a Winchester 250 lever action 22 rifle recently as a project. The innet magazine tube seems to be stuck and no matter what I do I can't get the thing out. From the damage on the end of it, it looks like they tried pulling it out with some kind of pliers.
So what do you guys/girls suggest? I'm thinking of soaking it in penetrating oil for a few days and see if that helps. Have not had but a minute to mess with it but I need to strip the receiver down amd see if somethings jammed up in there which is causing the binding/jam. Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2 |

I would remove the forend wood & apply mild heat to the outer mag tug at the same time the inner tube is being pulled out from it.
If the inner tube isn't gunked up, a shot of sanding with fine emory paper should slick up the brass. Don't forget, as many do, to also clean/scrub the inside of the outer tube. . |

I would try penetrating oil, if say a live round was jammed in there I would not want to apply heat.
