Alliant Load Data - Is this the max charge?

In my search for data for the Nosler 50gr bullets in .223, I looked at the data offered by Alliant on their website. They have data for this bullet with Reloader 10X, but this is how it's listed:

Case - Winchester
Minimum OAL - 2.2
Powder - Reloader 10X
Charge Weight - 24.2 grains
Velocity - 3,389fps

They call it a "reciple". Is that charge they list the max charge? I would like to be able to figure out a range and intervals to load rather than just being given a "recipe".

when compared to other data it does seem to be max loads. I've been downgrading their loads by 10% and it seems to work fine for me.

What data are you comparing it to? I haven't been able to find any min/max data for 10X.

I'm just saying "comparison in general".
When I compare any Alliant listed load (.45ACP, 30-30win, etc) to one from another source the Alliant load is almost always sitting right at the MAX from the other source.

So I've just been assuming that holds true across the board.

If you want to try a load that works in every 223 I've put it in, try 25.0 grs AA 2230 under a 50 gr pill. It's not a barrel burner but it ain't no sleeper either. The largest group out of my 223's is 1/2" and that's over 10 rifles. Might give it a try. The loads listed on Alliants website are max loads.

The warning page, before you enter Alliant's online Reloader's Guide, states "REDUCE RIFLE AND HANDGUN CHARGE WEIGHTS BY 10% TO ESTABLISH A STARTING LOAD."
Clearly this indicates the listed load data are max loads. It pays to read all the fine print, even when it is capitalized......
