Possible New Hunter
I've never really hunted before unless you count suirrels when I was 13. I'm tired of shooting at paper and am considering hog hunting due to their epidemic growth in the South.
I've been considering using a scoped Yugo AK I have or maybe my Saiga 12 with slugs. I've been reading the Florida Hunting Regulations and I see where it says what's prohibited "Centerfire semi-automatic rifles having magazine capacities of more than five rounds." That's clear enough, but the only thing I see regarding shotguns is for migratory game birds, where it limits one to a 3 round magazine. So, what is the limit of the mag size for a shotgun for hunting hogs and other animals not migratory birds? |

I would imagine shotguns would follow the same rules as rifles.

If you can, send an e-mail to the fish and wildlife regional office where you plan to hunt with your questions. If e-mail is not an option, give them a call. Ask politely what page of the hunting guidelines manual lists the basis for their answers.

Shot guns DO NOT follow rifle rules in FLA... Migratory bird is still the 3 round max that is federally mandated but for other species such as deer and hogs, No limit on shell count for shotguns.
