.40 S&W for Sig Pistol?
Anyone have any pet loads and input on loading for the .40 Sig?

IMO that's their way of getting out of trouble if you blow the gun up or have troubles. I've got the P226 in 9mm and .40sw.. been shooting my 9mm loads and am about to test / chrono my first batch of .40sw. I thought I noticed that verbiage in my Sig P226 9mm and .40sw manuals... I think it's the same manual.
I certainly can't think of a reason you can't shoot loads/reloads out of a particular gun. |

OK, these are out of a Glock 23:
Speer 165 TMJ 7.0 Power Pistol Avg 1,022 This is Speer's starting load for this bullet, and they note it as a "lite" practice load. Speer 155 GDHP 8.4 PP Avg. 1,196 Std 17.3 Speer (and Alliant) show a max of 9.0 with this bullet, and I did get a little more velocity, also more variation. Winchester Ranger 155s clock at 1,172/16.9, so I like my selected load. Both bullets COAL 1.12, CCI 500, mixed brass. Smiles for me, none on the brass. |
