Thought for the day

Take reloading advice ONLY from people that still have BOTH eyes, and ALL TEN fingers!

Ain't that the truth...

Here is another:

Never have more than one powder container on the bench at a time.

If it goes "crunch" when you raise the ram - you're probably sizing the wrong brass!

If your press has a powder loader, remember to dial down the charge die when changing to a smaller case.

At Home Depot or some such I ran across an instruction book for use of a table saw. The person in the illustrations had lost several fingers somewhere.

Sometimes those with first hand experience on what NOT to do are the best teachers.

If you take your reloads to the range, and they don't fire........you did something wrong.

If any of your ammo makes a funny sound when you pull the trigger - count the perforations in the target!

AND......

A kind word and a gun will accomplish more than a kind word alone

Fingers...

Cheygriz--I have to agree w/Guy B. Meredith.

The author of The ABC's of Reloading, which is the best reloading primer to be had IMHO, is pictured in the front of the book. He has obvious prostheses for hands. He states that this is the result of a boyhood experiment with explosives. What a powerful testament to "Do it right, know what you're doing, or it'll cost you!"

My wife said that if I went shooting again, she would leave me. I'm going to miss her.

Or there's a stone stuck in the shell...

9mm shells will expand enough to accept a .40 head without splitting.

If you use a shellplate made for .45 with a 9mm shell, it will get stuck in the resizing die.

If you are in need of a high quality J-hook attempt to deprime a berdan case.

How that shellplate got into my die I'll never know.
