Alliant Powder Charge for 9mm
I'm having trouble finding the loading information for 115gr and 124gr. 9mm rounds using the Alliant Pistol Powder. I went to the website and the loading data section was under construction. Anyone have load data for this powder or comments if you have used this powder.

Out of Lyman Manual #48:
115 gr JHP a max load of 6.5 grs Power Pistol is also their accuracy load. OAL=1.090, speed- 1212'ps from a 4" barrel 125 gr JHP a max load of 5.7 grs, OAL= 1.075, speed- 1107'ps from a 4" barrel They didn't show a 124 gr bullet. I've never used Power Pistol but have considered it. I have had great success with HS-6, AA#5, and Unique for speed and accuracy. |

I've done some load development using Power Pistol and then, moved on to other powders minus the muzzle blast and flash. FWIW, 6.2 grains was very accurate in my guns using 115 FMJ as was, 6.4 grains under a 115 JHP. I shoot primarily indoors and much prefer WSF, Silhouette, VV N-330 or 3-N-37. If I could only choose one powder for 9MM it would probably be Silhouette.

Thanks D. Manley
The Power Pistol powder at 6.4gr also shot the smallest group behind 115gr. roundnose, in my Baretta 92. It does have more recoil, flash and bang but it grouped a little high and to the right. The best Unique load was 4.7gr. and centered in the target.
