multigun/3 gun competition
just wondering what sights you use. i see most guys using a 1-4x but the ranges seem so short that a reflex would do fine.

The 1-4X is slower up close but nice for longer shots. I like both.

A dot is great, until you get to the 350yd stage. A lot of shooters like a 4MOA dot, and at 350 yards, that would completely subtend a 12" target. I use iron sights.

yea i've seen that docter side mounted like that a couple times. not too bad if i say so myself. never done a 3 gun so i'm just not sure what the average dist for the rifle is. i'd assume anywhere from 10-350m?

Many club matches are short range, basically pistol matches with a long gun. Those are ok with 1x. Stick with those, fine. However, I just shot the Larue match - out to 440 yds. Set the 1.1-4x to 4x for that one.
Just a note - Having a scope and a dot will put you in Open division. It is possible to add open sights on an angle mount, and stay in Tactical. Lee |

There is no mount it's just a cmore off one of my open pistols bolted directly to the FF tube.
I intended to put it on a rail but that would have put it too high. As it is you just rotate the rifle with the same cheek weld to go from one to the other. |
