value on carcano m91 ts w/ bayo

i have a carcano m91 ts. made in brescia, 1914. has transverse bayo lug. walnut stock. sn matches on barrel and stock. bolt is different. no cartouches. strong land and grooves in barrel. cleaning rod present. original (correct) sling. has a star stamp on left side of trigger guard area. is that a refurbish mark? bayo does not match. it is in rough shape but they are hard enough to get at all let alone in good shape. some bring double the rifle cost. no pitting in barrel. ok, with all this what would you suggest as a fair price for this set up. i've spent hours trying to find anything on the on line auctions, forums etc. w/ no luck. thanks rick

Try gunbroker, there are quite a few in the completed listings. I don't know in the bayo will add much value but as with most old guns it depends on how rare it is and who you sell it to.

I have been seeing Carcanos going for $200 to $250 now without bayonets. About 5 years ago Surplus Dealers where selling this for $50 a piece. I picked up two (one for parts) about that time for $35 each.
