what powder charge for 700 Gr. 500 mag?

I have some 700 grain bullets coming and I can not seem to find any load data for them. I was wondering if anyone might know how much H110 to put behind theses. thanks

Don't think you're going to get a 700 grain bullet in that revolver case. 700 grain bullets will be for 50BMG, and will definately be long and pointed.

30gr LilGun (Max) is the only data I have ever seen for it - and I never actually bought the gun so never commenced loading etc

Thanks; The bullets I ordered are the same exact ones that ballistic supply uses. I posted on a S&W forum too and found out 25 Grains of H110 is the prefered amount incase anyone else was wondering. From looking on U tube, they will be a blast to shoot lol. They use up just about the full length of the cyclinder. Oh how I can not wait for them to get here

I think I put 23-25 grains under that bad boy when I shoot it. I'd have to look at my notes later today when I get home. Can't tell much of a difference between those and the 500 grainers with a full house charge. They both are about as much gun as I want to shoot. Not painful, but stiff.

Those are bullets I made. The mold is a close copy of the ones the OP is using. Only the solids are 700 grains though. Yes, they kick!--;

Shooting a full diet of those will shoot even the big smith loose in a hurry. Better to stick with "normal" bullet weights. That revolver with full house 440 lead that I also cast, is a fun time. Think at least twice what a full-house 44 mag kicks like.

I love the taste of crow! Wow!! Never seen anything that big that wasn't meant for 50BMG. I've got some high test 550 grain 45-70 loads that BITE, but I guess I haven't seen or felt real pain yet. Going to show this to my 30 year old son and see if he is up on ordering a box for his 500. Bet he wears his shooting gloves if he does!

25gns of H110 or 27.5gns of Lil'Gun. Both will net you betwen 1100 and 1200 fps. Hang on for dear life when you squeeze the trigger though.

The bullets came in today which is great. It said on his site he was backloged about 6 weeks and its only been since my first post to get them. I will be loading some later with 25 Gr. H110 behind it. I'll post a pic of the final product once im finished. I am thinking about hunting deer with these if they turn out to be accurate enough. We will see I guess.

i loaded it today and it is noticeably heavyer. im going out this sunday to the unregulated range with 23 of these (ran out of powder) and some 350 grainers. ill be taking out my new 444 lever gun too along with a bunch of others. ill be sure to give a range report.

went shooting today. the 700 grain bullet kicked about as hard as my 350 grain bullet (700 was louder though) but I load that beyond max so that could be why. I used 25 grains of H110 and it seemed to work good. This is what happens when you shoot a 444 and 500 at some spinning targets. one is 3/4 aluminum and the other is 1/4 steel. the big hold in the steel is from the 700 grain bullets
