need some advice

I am new to custom rifles but i have savage 93f 17hmr that i would like to attempt to customize. I am looking for a barrel, either a carbon fiber wrapped (i think those are cool) or a fluted heavy barrel. I can't seem to find anyone that sells them so if you could let me know where to find one or if i could get one custom made, i would appreciate it.

.17 is little, but still, I think you'll find most barrel makers will make a blank for it and then contour that blank and even polish it to a finish if you want them too? Some offer chambering services as well, or you can just buy the blank and have it chambered and the extractor relief cut by a rimfire gunsmith.

Since you didn't specify your location, people familiar with local gunsmiths won't know if you are local to them or not?
