Pacific Durachrome 9mm to “E” adaptor
I need help identifying a mystery die/adapter I got as part of a trade for Dillon setup for both S&W .40 & 9mm parabellum (among other things).
It seems to be a simple thread adapter as the bottom male thread fits into standard die stations, but there is a smaller (but not as small, or as fine a pitch as the old Lyman thread) female thread in the top. It was fitted into the tool-head for .40 S&W. It is labeled “Pacific Durachrome 9mm to “E” adapter. What does it do/adapt to what? Some kind of powder meter I guess??

It sounds like a Pacific adapter for their small, fine-thread dies, to 7/8-14 threads ...until you get to the "9mm to E" marking. Unless it's some kind of incomplete powder-through-expander die, or strangely marked expander die body, I have no idea.

I thought the old Lyman small threads were the same at 7/8-14?
If so then this is bigger & coarser pitched than that. I have an old #55 measure with the adapter tube & the threads are incompatible. I don't think its a die adapter, it's about 2+" long! It has no moving parts just a tube with different threads at both ends, a coarse male at the "bottom" & a finer female at the "top"
