I can't make it this weekend, but I like the idea.

Perhaps once a month, the Houston area bunch here on TFL could call a get together at one of the local ranges, and even rotate the locations around the city each month.

I'm in another group (aircraft builder's group) that does this and it's a nice way to keep in touch.
(BTW; early mornings are always best for me but that's just one vote).

rats

This is Youngest Son's "family party" for his 18th birthday (parental units will not be terribly welcome at friend party on his actual birthday LOL) His brothers and sisters and inlaws are coming from Austin.

But I'd love to do it again some other time!

I will try and wander out. 2pm. I assume the pistol range? 15 yard end of the line toward the steels?

Wow cool. I live in The Woodlands and have kind of been thinking it would be nice if there was some kind of group thing I could get involved in. I go out to “Carter’s Country” on Treshwig every weekend and run a couple hundred rounds through my Kimber and have just recently bought a Winchester Super X2 so I have started shooting trap out there also. So far it has been either me alone or me and my dad and sometimes my brother or nephews and cousin-in-law. The problem this usually presents is that by the time any of them can get it together the day is better than half gone and my time at the range is somewhat cramped and rushed.

I hadn’t realized there was anything here on “TFL” that might resemble a “group” and one from Houston at that.

Too cool.
