Hunting Info

Hey folks. I'm kinda new to TFL. I've been around a few months enjoying yalls threads and posts but this is my first. I'm in a bit of a problem. With an exception of the last 4 years, I have hunted whitetails since about 8 years old. I enjoy it very much. But with trying to kick my career off, finish school and raising my son on my own, I decided that hunting could wait a few years.

Well now its time to rekindle the fire with my long lost love. The woods. The problem I'm having is finding a safe, suitable place to get away from reality. I live in central VA. Just south of Richmond. I'm willing to travel a bit if it means I will be around a safe bunch. I have a state Forrest in my area but I feel unsafe being in the woods there. Folk mess with your truck and just don't carry the same hunting morals as I. We all know how important that is.

My question is; do any of you fellow Virginians have some ideas on how to find a GOOD afordable place to hunt? Maybe your club has an opening. Or someone you know has a farm and would be willing to meet with me and possibly allow me and ONLY me (I will no allow another person with me unless permission has been granted). Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Jim
