M1 Garand armorer/smith?

am proud owner of an old 1945 edition M1 Garand...
well used...probably been overseas & back, but I acquired it
around 1977..needs refurbishing...not looking for a match rifle,
but a restored GI rifle ready for another 60 years service.
Anybody got any armorers or smith's to recommend?
thanks.

Not exactly 'right around the corner' from you but have you checked into Fulton Armory?

Gerald "Hook" Boutin of Bremen, GA is who I use. Fulton Armory is not a great place to send an M1. They are over-priced.

I can provide contact info if you PM me. He is 83 years old and has been doing this stuff for 50+ years. He is also cheap!!!!!

Everybody knows Ol' Hook Boutin or they should.

His work is phenomenal and his JCG match accurization process will cut your groups in half.
