M1 Garand armorer/smith?
am proud owner of an old 1945 edition M1 Garand...
well used...probably been overseas & back, but I acquired it around 1977..needs refurbishing...not looking for a match rifle, but a restored GI rifle ready for another 60 years service. Anybody got any armorers or smith's to recommend? thanks. |

Not exactly 'right around the corner' from you but have you checked into Fulton Armory?

Gerald "Hook" Boutin of Bremen, GA is who I use. Fulton Armory is not a great place to send an M1. They are over-priced.
I can provide contact info if you PM me. He is 83 years old and has been doing this stuff for 50+ years. He is also cheap!!!!! Everybody knows Ol' Hook Boutin or they should. His work is phenomenal and his JCG match accurization process will cut your groups in half. |
