Broken Bersa Model 83 (380 ACP)
I have a Bersa 380 Model 83 that has a broken Slide. (I am not the original owner of the gun. I have owned the gun for about a year.)This weekend while at Bass Pro Shops, in Grapevine, TX I had shot about 50 rounds through the pistol when the slide had jumped track a was cocked in the up position like the disassembly lever had been pushed. When I touched the slide the spring pushed (shot) the slid off and down range about 15' hitting the concrete floor.
The front, of the slide that surrounds the barrel is broken. I don't know if the slide broke on the gun or when it hit the concrete floor. My questions is, Is there replacement slide for this gun and if so what will it cost? I have talked to Eagle Imports / Bersa the part has been discounuined. Does anyone, know where I might be able to find a replacement slide for this gun? Link to the Bersa Model 83http://bersachapterhouse.50webs.com/model83.html

I would check with these guys:
http://www.coloradogunworks.com/ They are the largest of the Bersa factory warranty repair shops. They just may be able to help you.
