Winchester model 70 bolt parts

Doing a rebuild on a wincher model 70 bolt assembly & need assistance to locate the following parts:

1. Firing pin spring retainer ring
2. Firing pin spring retainer u-clip

first time having to hunt for parts for this rifle. Any help would be appreciated.

First you need to communicate what version of the Model 70 you have, then we can advise you better. Pre-'64, post-'64 push feed, Classic, etc.

I do a lot of work on Model 70s. I've found that Jack First Gunshop, Rapid City SD has more Model 70 parts then anyone else I've found.

Thanks for each of you for the assistance to help me locate these parts. This was my first time for this particular model of b/a rifle-----rem 700 & howa 1500 models shall continue to be my personal favorites.

Called jack first regarding the part i needed & was told they had none in stock & that the factory is no longer making this part.

LISTEN UP YA'LL---GOT A HOT LEAD ON MODEL 70 WINCHESTER PARTS:

RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM ROSS WILLIAMS @ WILLIAMS GUNS. HE SAID THAT "FNH" (FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL) PLANT IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA, IS CURRENTLY PRODUCING PARTS FOR THESE RIFLES. FOR PARTS INFO RELATED TO ANYTHING NON-MILITARY CONTACT: [email protected]

Winchester model 70 parts info update #2

Attention shooters:

Received an email today from mr. Stuart slocum @ "fn" corporation in columbia, sc. He said that spare parts for winchester bolt guns, are being handled by the "browning" division of the "fn" family of companies. Will keep all informed as my search for parts continues.
