Well two massive gun/ammo panics inside 4 years will do that. It will take a few years for the supply chain to recover.
Gas will stay where it is. Adjusted for inflation, it is where it was in 1965. The problem is falling wages. There is a glut of highly skilled and highly educated labor in India, all English speaking. There is also a glut of cheap slave labor in the rest of Asia. All of this is putting huge pressure on salaries in the US. That is also lowering the US standard of living. Network infrastructure is so good that someone half a world away can replace almost any American office worker at less than a third the cost. |
