Remington .22 Rifle Question

A friend of mine just got an old Remington .22 Rifle from his Father and wanted to find out some information about it. This is all I know:

Remington SpeedMaster
Model 241
.22 Short Only - Smokless Greased

#118325

Can anyone give me some information about this rifle please. And I believe he is going to sell it, so if anyone knows anything about how much it might be worth, that would be helpful as well. Thanks.

Made from 1935 to 1949. 107,345 were produced. I see them once in a while at auctions and gun shows usually for a couple of hundred bucks depending on condition. Some were also chambered for long rifle as well.
