Blank Question
If I take to bullet off of a .22 shell, left the powder in, and stuck in some kind of wadding, and shoot, if the wadding gets stuck in the barrel, will the gun blow up? I don't think it would get stuck, but have any of you guys made blanks? And how do you do it?

Are you specifically searching for a way to blow up a gun?
'Cause I got experience....

No wad you could push in the empty case will provide enough resistance to make it a blank. IF the reason for this is to produce a report, you won't! 22 blanks are made every day, for starting pistols and dog training. Buy some!

The 22 blanks use a special very fast burning powder and a heavy wad, or crimped closed case mouth. Remove the bullet, put some tissue in the case, all you'll get is a POOF! AND a very dirty barrel!

I have helped make blanks for center fire rounds 38 special. No need to make them for 22 or...get the 22s from home depot that are used to drive fasteners into concrete.
