My Dad gave me a Marlin 39 A 22 cal rifle that he bought new in I believe 1960. It is in new condition. Just wondering what it might be worth. Thanks for any info.

My current Gun Traders Guide says $265 retail for 1960 to 1987 dates but I have seen them at some of the auction sites for 200. Mine was picked up in 1980 for $90 used but in excellent condition. MWT

I think it is worth a lot of fun and a better rifle than most of the .22's now on the market. Those are nice guns, but don't have a lot of collector interest, so shoot it and enjoy!
