Too Cool

I just won an auction for a Dan Wesson Pistol Pack. Waiting for my transfer guy to receive it!

Great gun, had one many, many years ago and really liked it. Main thing to remember is be sure to use the gage when changing the barrels otherwise you get a damaged revolver.

My old model 14 would put them in the same hole at seven yards all day long.

Great gun, I love mine. I generally stick with the 6" barrel, but it's fun to play around with the others every now and then. Looks like it's in great shape. Congrats! Let us know how it shoots.

If you don't mind, how much did you get it for?

Well, my dad actually bought it a while back and he gave it to me as a gift, so I don't remember exactly what he paid. I'm thinking in the $600-$700 range though.

If he really got it for that price then he got a really good deal. I have seen them go for twice that amount here in VA/TN.

Dan Wessons are much underappreciated IMHO, and invariably those who had them and sold them regretted it. A DW M-15 with the vent-heavy shroud is a poor man's Python.

Well, here's a picture with a target that came with the kit using the 6" barrel.

And here is a target I did with the 8" barrel at 24 feet, using PMS 125 grain JSP ammo. (And stoopid me forgot to bring the Allen wrench needed to adjust the sights!)

I have always wanted a complete kit. Maybe some day I will come across one I can afford. For now I will just continue to use the only one I have. It is a 4" extra heavy barrel.

Look at EWK. They have some reasonable barrel and shrouds.

I do know about them. All of their barrel assemblies are sold out.

If you want something from EWK, send him an email letting him know what you want. I ordered a barrel from him a while back and it showed Sold Out on the website. Which he was. When I sent an email he said he could get one made shortly.

I did. He said they don't have any of the 15" ones, but I'm on his list to contact if they do make a new run.

I have gotten Green Fiber optic front sights for every barrel in the kit from EWK, AND an extra one in case I do get that 15 incher. Plus a couple extra Allen screws for the front sights, as a couple of them were almost stripped out.
