Vibratory Tumbler Bowl Fix?
hey guys, I am on my third harbor freight tumbler(guess I should buy a better brand), but its the same problem every time and was wondering if anyone knew a fix. usually when you screw down the wingnut tight, it makes the bowl stationary, but after a few months of use, the bowl spins when motor is on, keeping it from being very effective, no matter how tight I screw the wingnut on. any ideas? I have bought the warranty plan, so I can just take it back again, but would like to just fix if I can

There should be a secondary nut that holds the bowl from spinning.

Sounds like a simple lock washer should work to me.

I have 3 different Lyman tumblers. Originally they use rubber nuts to secure the bowl to the base, and to attach the lid to the bowl. I take off the rubber nut that attaches the bowl to the base and use a fender washer and a hex nut and tighten it TIGHT. Never comes loose again. The rubber nuts secures the lid to the bowl just fine.

My Thumler's has a rubber backed washer that holds it tight with the wing nut.

Yes, the nut that holds the lid on does not hold the bowl on.
