Suppressor on ar/ak

I bought an AK74 a while back, super fun gun. Im probably going to buy another even. Ive wanted to buy a suppressor or a while and now am concidering one for an ar since (unless Im way off base) the 5.45x39mm round should function effectivly and safely in a can biilt for 5.56x45mm. Anyone ever mount one that way or have any feedback?

Not sure your question, a .223 silencer should work both calibers, be carefull getting your AK threaded as it takes someone who knows what they are doing. AR type barrel is easy in comparison.

Do not expect the AK to be as quiet, the backpressure from the silencer causes extra noise to come out the gas port vents by the front sight, so it is not as quiet as other guns.

Member Sturmgewehre made this video a while back.

This shows a 5.45mm SBR and a M16 using the same suppressor.
