LC.93 brass cartridge

Can someone help me I was in Arizona last month,I was wondering if you could explain to me about a cartridge I found in Arizona the past month. It looks to be a .223 cartridge but it has a stamping on it with the initials LC.93 it also has a circle logo on it with a cross or x in the middle of the circle. This cartridge has been hit with a firing pin but the front of the cartridge is completely crimped over like nothing has been fire from this cartridge. If you can give me some info on this I would very much appreciate it. Thanks for your time in advance.

Yup, a military blank made by Lake City (military contract sometimes in cahoots with Federal Ammo). It's officially called a 5.56x45mm, M200, Blank Cartridge and it was maunfactured in 1993.

I think the crossed circle is a NATO deal. US military ammo has it, but so does euro milsurp.

The cross in the circle is the NATO symbol, btw.

The circle and + in means that the round is NATO approved, i.e., built to NATO specifications and approved for use in the weapons of NATO.
