Best Place to Purchase Brass for Reloading

I have been searching for months to find someone with new 7mm-08 brass in stock. I am also looking for opinions on brand of brass Reminton, Winchester, and Norma?

I have found Norma but wasn't willing to pay $2 a piece for brass.

Thanks
For the Help
Doug

I've been lucky and found .308 brass at Cabelas a few times. I ponied up the money and bought Lapua brass. It's not cheap at $70-$80/100, but it is superb brass! Buy once, cry once!

If you want military surplus once fired or primed never fired brass, look at Wideners Reloading Supply. Sign up for their news letter and you will get their weekly emails. When they get stuff on stock, it usually goes fast!

New 308 brass can be necked down to 7mm/08 with your sizing die, many manufactures of brass recommend sizing their brass plus trim if needed and chamfer the case mouth! In a pinch this may get you thru this mess we have now with limited supply of components! This isn't a perfect solution but it will work.. William

. Just FL size 308 brass to 7-08. should work pretty easy at least a lot easier then making a 243 out of a 308 case . I hear if you want to get 243 from 308 . It's best to size it down to 7-08 then 260 then your final 243 . they all use the same 308 parent case .

Midway has Nosler 7mm-08 brass available here.

About the same price as Norma brass though. I've read great things about Nosler brass, better than Winchester or Remington.

Midway also has Nosler 308 brass on sale here.

If you don't mind resizing and having a different headstamp you could get primo brass at a discount.

Well I guess when wanting something special your at the mercy of those who have it. You know everything component wise is in short supply. Plain and simple: "You either buy it or someone else will."
If I owned a rifle with no spare brass such as a 7mm-08. I'd shoot new for awhile. Its cheaper than buying bulk as in your case. As far as a decent brand of brass. Anything you can buy or be given is a good brand.

If you line in a metropolitan area that has craigslist I have had very good luck finding it on craigslist.com. Once you get enough to get started you pick it up off the floor/ground.

Good luck with the 7-08 brass, I posted here about some about 2 months ago and was lucky enough to get a PM from a guy that had 150 empty once fired he sold me, have yet to see any at any dealer since. I am also looking for the drilled and tapped test case for my 7-08 so I can do a proper OAL with my new gauge, got one?
