I am amazed that P99s are hard to find yet P22s seem to be all over. I am interested in buying a P99 in the future because the P22 I have is such a nice little pistol.

Today is the prime example.

Local gunshow today which has one of the largest gunstores in Central Florida. This outfit has as many as three rows of tables. Darn near every type of gun made. If they don't have it no one does.

In the Walther section, P380's (at least 8 of them) P22's (at least a dozen or more of them) and PPS's (both 40 and 9 and both on sale for $569) at least 10 or more of those.

How many p99's? ZERO

In fact in the whole show I saw 2 P99's (one had the 990 on it) and both were 40 cal. 40 Cal guns are not selling as well recently. And both were in the upper $600's.

FWIW, I would recommend finding an older, Interarms import, or early Walther USA without all the S&W markings on them, and 9mm. It was designed as 9mm, although many who have the .40 like it. The .40 P99 has too much snappy muzzle flip for some. I believe the pre- S&W Walther guns are better, and seem to hold their value more, too.
