Winchester 1300 Bolt Disassembly
Title says it all - I disassembled the bolt completely and am looking for help on the proper location of the bolthead spring washer - does it go against the extractor or against the bolthead spring retaining pin? I have not been able to find a full exploded diagram of this portion of the gun, Winchester only provides detail down to the bolt assembly level.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Little more info
I tried to find the part you are talking about, but could not find it in any of my manuals or part catalogs. Did you get the names from your current owners manual? I have several expanded views of the bolt, but none of them use the names you have listed. Give me some more info and I should be able to help you. I wouldn't think it would go next to the extractor. On some of the views it shows a firing pin washer, could that possibly be what you are referring to?

The diagram that I have shows the washer coming out of the rear of the bolt before the spring does. From that I would assume that the washer rides against the pin. "The Gun Digest Book of Assembly/Disassembly Part V: Shotguns" contains an illustrated set of instructions for the 1200.

Well first, in case you need the full manual, it's right here:
Steve's reloading and firearm pages - Winchecter 1300 owners manual in Adobe .pdf format Then how's about this giant schematic of the 1300: 1300 schematic
