Anybody else got a Sig Spartan?
I just bought a Sig Spartan 1911 just wondering if anybody else has one of these? If so what's your experience with it? I haven't been able to shoot it yet as I am on my long weekend at work and it's killing me not to shoot it. Anyway I love the Bronze finish and of course the greatest saying ever. Molon Labe. I'm at work but I do have a pic of it.

I do not. I like how it looks.
You broke a cardinal unspoken and unwritten rule of TFL when you purchase a new gun. No pics? Post some pics man! |

The more exotic of the local gun-shops has/had one in stock and it felt veeeery nice.
A mere €1650, or a reasonably healthy kidney

I paid more for this gun than I paid for my first car. Don't know what the exchange rate for euro's is James Pond but I paid 1250 American for it.

Exchange rates as they stand would make my local one retail at about $2130...

Belated congrats on your Spartan - am also seriously considering the Sig Spartan 1911, but am a little worried about the durability of the 'oil-rubbed bronze' finish - is it any good? Any updates on the Spartan?
Sorry, for bumping this old thread, but there seems to be a dearth of information regarding how the Spartan finish holds up over time. Thanks in advance for any information. |

Tenebrous
Well to be honest it's hard to tell because I have only put 100 rounds thru her. She spends most of her time in the safe. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks to all that responded - if anyone has any more information on the finish, it would be appreciated.
