Hammer Adjustment
Greetings!
Has anyone had any experience in adjusting the hammer on a sidelock muzzleloader and how did you do it? I am attempting to restock an old barrel into a T/C Renegade stock using the Renegade sidelock. I have everything fit-up and the hammer is slightly too far forward to squarly hit the nipple. I am contemplating milling the square hole foreward about a 1/16th " with an endmill and squaring the hole back in with a file. Any better solutions out there? |

Why not simply heat the hammer up and bend it slightly? Off the lock, of course.
