kahr T9

What's the story with the Kahr T9? Are they still made or were they only made in a few runs?

I still see them listed on Kahr's website.

Personally I think the company should have made it a 45 and dropped the price $200. They would have sold quite a few.

The T9 is a rare duck alright. Judging by the serial numbers, only a few are made each year, maybe as low as 150 or so. They do seem to made during limited periods as well. This explains why many people have never even seen one in a gun shop.

They are still being made and if you're into Kahrs, they are a great addition to your collection. The T9 is different from a K9 in that the takedown process is easier on the T9, otherwise very similar. I've always compared the T9 with the HK P7, two guns that are as similar and alike as they come.

The polymer TP9 is the samne size but easier to find.

I bought one the other day at my local gun shop. It's a great feeling gun and shoots like a dream. I hadn't even heard of it before, but when I saw it I had to have it. Just wondered what you all had heard about it. Thanks!

Lucky you! I do a fair amount of internet gun-site reading... The Kahr T-series guns are universally praised. I don't remember ever reading anything negative about them.

Well I've only got about 100 rounds through it at this point, but based on those 100 rounds I can say it's easily the best striker fired trigger I've ever felt. I have nothing negative to say about it. I picked it up brand new, apparently I lucked out!

Nice.

Show some pictures. All those Kahr models are hard to figure out.

Simple;
Kahrs come in small, medium and large, (M, K or T).
Kahrs are metal or polymer framed.
Calibers are 9mm, .40 or .45, sorry no metal .45

T9 and TP9; Large metalframe, large poly frame
K9 and P9; medium metal frame and medium polymer frame
( I don't care for the small MK or PM sized Kahrs)

They also make an economy version of the polymerframes sm and med. called the "C" series, ( C for cheaper I guess ).

Just got my Kahr PM45 the other day. Put about 300 rounds through it and not one problem. I love this little gun. Got a laser pointer for it and we are ready for business.
