Weigh-down fillers???

This may be the easiest question ever asked around here, but I'm a city boy and I'm gonna ask anyway.

I'm about to order up a Caldwell lead sled to sight in my Sig 556 and Rem 700 VTR out at the range. But, I need something cheap and heavy to fill it with. Obviously lead is what is recommended, but 50lbs looks to be 100$ for some cheap lead online. I refuse to use sand - impossible to clean up and not exactly the easiest thing to find in NYC.

Any suggestions? Thanks for helping a newb
