Strikefire vs the rest

Vortex Strikefire vs Aimpoint Pro or EO Tech 512. Why not put the Vortex on my AR and shotgun? Price is much better and the dot looks similar.

Should I think about this differently?

I like the SPARC much better than the Strikefire for only about $20 more. I came to the conclusion that the $200 SPARC did everything I needed a dot sight to do. If you need or want more performance then the more expensive sights will probably hold up to more abuse than the cheaper units. From my experience the Vortex dots are a pretty good compromise between price and quality.
