Mossberg International™ Silver Reserve II Sporting O/U

Hi Guys.. I just started to do some Trap shooting and I love it.. I want to buy a gun in the $800 to $1,100 range.. What does everyone think about the Mossberg International™ Silver Reserve II Sporting O/U in 12 Gauge. I know there were some problems with the firing pins in earlier models..Looking for Advise.

You should pass on it and buy a better gun.

Save your money and buy a better gun... In the long run you will be far better off...

For strictly American singles trap, the BT-99 is a fantastic gun. It can only do that one game, but it does it very well. IF you are going to add trap doubles or skeet, or 5-stand or sporting, then you will need a gun capable of two shots. For your price range, look at slightly used semis from Remington or Beretta. If you go the semi route, get a shell catcher for trap singles so you don't tick off the guy to your right with empties flying his way

The cheapest gun you buy is the one you only buy once -i.e., buy the best quality, even used, you can
